S/N is differnet after stacking?

    Hello all,

    I have a strange behavior with the serial number of my switches.

    At all documents or sticker with the serial number it is looking like:

    SG7AK451xx after stacking and looking  with the cli  "show system information", the serial number looks like SG7AGYY1xx.

    Is this a normal behavior?

    Greetings!

     

    If you run the command 'show stacking detail', you should be able to view the serial number of each stack member — this should match the output of 'show system information'. If this is not the case (the two commands show different serial numbers), let us know and we'll investigate the issue.

     

    If they do match as expected: are all of the displayed serial numbers different from what's on the switch labels, or are they being displayed in the CLI in a different order than expected based on how the switches are physically installed?

    So you are right, I get the same wrong information....

    It is really strange behavior.
