S1500 won't save startup config

    Hello, After setting up a s1500 switch using the quit setup through the CLI I am not able save the startup config.

    I issue a copy running config to startup config command that says it completed sucess fully. When I show the startup config it still show the defauls. I recent purchased 3 used s1500s and they all exhibt the same symtoms.

    Anyone out there having a simular problem?

    Can you try 'write mem' instead of copy running startup? I use 'wr mem' and never had this issue. I know many do the same, so it may not have been noticed for a while.

     

    Can you reboot the switch to see if which config is actually loaded?

    Yeah, I tried wr mem as well. Indicated it was saving the configuration , but startup config still not updated.

    A reboot take the switch back to default mode and has t be reconfigured.
