Wish to understand if Aruba have like a schedule similar to Microsoft in terms doing update release for their fleet of switches?

With NetEdit, you can create a change to deploy simultaneously on multiple devices a selected firmware of the same switch type. During deployment you will be provided with a change validation that can check the health of your network before the upgrade and after the upgrade. For time being, this deployment can not be sceduled and triggered automatically.

my question was not about how to deploy the update but more on schedule of new firmware releases from Aruba?

Do they release a new version every month for instance 16.08 to 16.09  every month etcc.

 

does this make sense?

I think @aruba_noob wishes to understand if a release schedule - roadmap with timeline - is available about ArubaOS-Switch (and/or ArubaOS-CX).

Over the past years, the pace of AOS-CX releases is:

- 2 major releases per year (major release means features introduction)

Example: 10.2 was released in December 2018, 10.3 in June, 10.4 is coming very soon.

- minor releases are essentially bug fixes and published every month.

Example: 10.03.0040 was available early October, 10.03.0050 end of October.
