Hi,
Yes, you can make a VSF stack using different 2930f models.
http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c05365316 page 605
The VSF feature allows the user to form a stack of up to four devices of any SKU, including mixing the SKUs in a single stack. The switches in these stacks are interconnected using standard Ethernet connections. These interconnections between member switches are called VSF links.

Hello,
It-is possible to setup a stacking with four 2930 F with Copper 1 Gb and fiber 10 Gb like this ? Two 2930F interconnected with two Copper 1 Gb in a room . Two other 2930F interconnected with two Copper 1 Gb in a second room and the two rooms interconnected with fibre 10 Gb.
(one OM4 10 G)
2930F --------------------------------2930F

I | (two Copper 1 gb) | | ( two Copper 1 gb)

2930F --------------------------------2930F
(one OM4 10 Gb)
Thanks a lot,
Hervé

Hi, sadly, no ... but its a good idea!
At least you can do link aggregation between the rooms.
Look at page 653 from here
VSF restrictions
• VSF is mutually exclusive with distributed trunking, mesh, and Q-in-Q.
• VSF port restrictions:
◦ Must be 10Gbps/1Gbps.
◦ A VSF link can only comprise ports with the same speed; either all 10G or all 1G. A VSF port’s speed which does not match with the global port speed, will be in a down state. The command show vsf link detail will display an error message.
◦ Maximum eight ports can be configured on one VSF link.
◦ VSF ports must be directly connected and there should be no transit devices between members.
• In a VSF virtual chassis, flow-control is not supported between ports on different chassis across VSF links.
• A VSF stack downgrade is not allowed if we try to downgrade a 2930 VSF stack to a 16.02 image.

Ok..
Or i replace copper by fiber and it s ok but i have note fiber port availbale.
And if i do link aggregation between the rooms, i have two VSF stacking, one VSF in each room. It is possible to do VRRP between these VSF ?
Thanks a lot,
Hervé

hi sorry, does this mean that 1Gbps or 10Gbps is supported for VSF stack for 2930F series?
1Gbps is workable? I am looking into 2 units of 2930F 24G SFP to perform VSF stack.
Please advice, thank you

Yes, you can configure VSF using 1G links over 2930F.
