    Environment:

    Topology > 1 Master and 10 APs.

    Troubleshooting :

    • Control Plane Security is disabled.

    • No sessions in datapath session table for the down AP.

    • #show log errorlog 50 – showed an error “Unexpected stm (Station management) runtime error at data_path_handler, 642, data_path_handler: recv - Network is down “.

    • #show database long – no flags status was there for down AP.

    • Able to ping the down AP.

What are the access points using to discover the controller?

Type "show log system 50" on the controller to see if there are any issues.

What has changed?  Did you check the switch to make sure that POE is being supplied?  Are you sure that something else did not get assigned the ip address of your access points?

We've had similar erratic behavior from APs when there was PoE but not enough PoE - 12watts for example when the AP needed 21.

The control plane tries to come up and we got incinsistent results until we correct the power output of our switches.
