    Hi

i have a question, i have to deploy APs 225 for somewhere and i don't know how to accurate 802.1ac on visual rf ,what i need to know is

    - what should i do accurate signal strength , at -65 or -55 to get speed at VHT

    - the coverage area on 802.11ac is smaller than 802.11an or there is equal ?

ps. yes i know everything is depend on environment but i just want to know how to accuracy to deploy them in the simple method

t is expected that you can get 30% more coverage on AP225 compare to 802.11n APs

You could a combination of a virtual Survey and physical survey , for the virtual survey you can  use VisualRF to determine the signal propagation accross a particular area and AP placement, you can get more accurate information by using Autocad files which has more information about the floor structure.

For a physical survey will allow to test the clients you planning to have in your environment and to get more accurate data you could use Airmagnet Survey (it supports 802.11ac)

Are you trying to do a deployment based on the data rates/throughput or signal coverage because each requires a different approach

Here's a nice overview of the difference between legacy, HT and VHT rates along with the MCS changes for 11ac (much less than HT)
