Dear all, I am not an expert in configuring Aruba controllers, so my question may not be appropriate if you will.  I followed a video training and I applied that config as close as I could into my 3200XM which is my lab equipment.  I do have licenses loaded, but I can not end up seeing the AP on the controller.  Below is the config could you please help?  thanks

is the access point on the same subnet as the controller?

Is something supplying DHCP to the AP?

I am plugging the AP on Port 1/1 which is on the native VLAN1, 172.16.0.254/24.

Something needs to provide DHCP on that VLAN.  You need to create a DHCP scope on that controller so that the AP can get an ip address.   Go to Configuration> Network> IP > DHCP to create a DHCP scope in that range and enable the DHCP service.

This is the management VLAN that is the default of the controller.  So at this point i am not sure how to do it.  thanks

Go to configuration> Network > IP> DHCP Server.  Click on the enable checkbox to enable the DHCP server.  Next, Add a DHCP server pool and make the network 172.16.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 dns 8.8.8.8 and default gateway 172.16.0.254 and click on apply.
