    Hello,

my WLAN here in Germany, includes AP-365 and AP-228.

My controller is an aruba 7210.

My AP-228 is the only one, which shows under AirWave :

    > 803.11bgn and 802.11ac are disabled

    > Status is Up and Config is displayed as Good

The country-code which was a solution for another issue which included

IAPs, has already been checked by me and is set to DE as it should be.

At the moment, I don't know how to proceed anymore and I would

    appreciate some help very much.

    Thanks

On the commandline of the controller, type :

    "show ap debug driver-log ap-name <name of ap>"

Shutting down eth1 due to insufficient POE voltage [power profile 2]

It seems like you don't have POE+ power applied to that AP.  It is required for full operation:

Well, since the AP-228 is connected via PoE, I will check the

cable-length tomorrow, if it doesn't exceed the maximum length.

I will also try a seperate PoE-injector with more power nearer to the ArubaAP-011 itself.

Maybe the power is sufficient for the controller to configure the AP,

but not enough for the AP with its external antennas to work correctly.

The connection itself, is the same as the AP-365s which I have in use.

I let you know tomorrow. Thanks

That view shows the status of the AP. The radio might be down.

Make sure you have LLDP enabled on that switch port, because that is how the AP negotiated POE+

Another thing which makes me wonder is, that AirWave tells me that

    certain Profiles are missmatched.

For additional information, I've attached part of the controller-config,

    showing my additional created ap-groups.

Strange is, that default-228, default-228a and default-228g are marked as missmatched,

while default-a and default-a and default-g are not.

Looking at the result of my previous attachment to :  show ab-debug

I see, that eth0 is UP and eth1 is DOWN, which is correct, because eth1 is not connected.

Is it mandatory for both ethernetports to be connected on this AP-type ?

Both ports do not have to be connected; it is optional.

On the controller, collect the output of "show ap tech support", and search for "Power Status".  Paste that output in here.

Please also type "show ap database long" and see if there are any flags next to the AP with that name.

The Airwave report is not really relevant initially, because by default, everything is mismatched if you have not imported a configuration to compare it to.

Could the reason be, that this AP is connected to a switch with no PoE,

and the PoE itself is supplied via a seperate PoE-injector ?

It is possible.  The AP only negotiates higher power via LLDP, typically.  If you have POE and an injector, you would have to remove the injector or disable the POE on that port to get higher power.

"show ap database" does not show that you have a regulatory issue.  It looks like the AP is not getting POE+, that is the problem.

    Now it works.

I connected the AP-228 now to another switch with PoE+ and LLDP enabled.

Now AirWave doesn't show Radios disabled anymore.

Power Status is now successfully negotiated at 23.0 W

Operational State is now with No restrictions (overridden by LLDP)

Next I'll check the ranges of the antennas.

Thank you for your support and Best wishes

What kind of switch is that and can you publish the LLDP settings for it on the port?

    Thanks in advance.
