    Hi all,

I have a question re: AP AP-325.. Well I suppose a few questions:

    1) What's the difference between the Aruba listed AP (JW186A) and the Aruba 325 Instant (JW327A)? As far as the data sheet is concerned, the standard AP should also be able to run in Instant mode, right?

    2) Will this AP (JW186A) work for an Instant deployment in the US?

    3) What does TAA compliance mean? I see that listed on some other models.

    Any insight would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    -Ryan

JW327A is IAP-325 for US regulatory domain.

    JW186A is controller based AP-325

The hardware is the same but the firmware are different, one is controller base and the other is Instant AP. You can convert the JW327A to a controller based AP but you can't convert JW186A to an Instant AP.

TAA refers to the Trade Agreements Act and here you can find more info on it. https://www.amtgov.com/what-is-taa-compliance.html

Thanks! Out of curiosity, do you know which were the first models that run both IAP and campus modes? I know the 5 series only has one SKU that does both. I thought the 3 series did as well.
