AP-ANT-16 warehouse application

    I'm designing a warehouse installation and have seen the AP-ANT-16 as a possibility for the external antennas between the racks.

     

    I dont see a mounting kit available for this AP. Has anyone used this AP in a warehouse or recommend a better 2.4/5Ghz antenna for this application? How are they mounted without a ceiling grid as described in the guide?

     

    AP114's are planned for the warehouse area. Celiing height is 36-40 feet.

    The AP115 (built in downtilt antenna) would work just fine at that height.

    lol, ok, thanks!

     

    so how high would I be able to use a downtilt before an external would be needed? Is there a white paper or something on this? I have seen the warehouse deployment video by Charlie Clemmer.

    Charlie Clemmer's presentation is very good material.

     

     

    30 to 40 feet is a typical warehouse/distribution center deployment height and it works with AP-105s, 135s, 225s and now 115s (they all have downtilt omnidirectional antennas).  Someone did a warehouse with AP105s at 50 feet here:  http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Unified-Wired-Wireless-Access/AP105-in-warehouse-deployment/m-p/30960/highlight/true#M17636
