AP-ANT-28 antenna

    what is the arrow for on the back of an AP-ANT-28 antenna?  (used with IAP-204)

     

    Based on the hardware document, they seem to be polarization arrows ?  Why would these need to be pointed a certain way when mounting to a wall or at an angle?

    When deployed for client access the polarization orientation is not very critical, and the patterns are fairly symmetrical.

    But when using these antennas for a PtP link, it is advised to ensure that the antenna orientations on both sides of the link match.
