hi to all,

 

i have a 7205 controller with 6.5.4.2 OS. these 2 APs were once discovered and configured to a group however it keeps on rebooting. what could be the reason? TIA.

What access points are you using?

What firmware are they on?

There is a chance that they are locating a master controller.

What kind of discovery method are you using:

 

• ADP
• DHCP
• DNS

Can you see / get the output from the AP console during boot?

 

Also if you can, attach a console cable to the AP and let it reboota few times, this will give us further clues :)

Try to factory reset and do it again.

Make sure AP has all information to join the controller, check via console.

i am managing at least 17APs via DHCP ,all of them are AP305. 16APs were successfully discovered with no console or hard reset done except for 1AP. actually I was able to modify its APName and group until I noticed it goes up and down every few minutes.

never had a chance to neither plug console nor do hard reset since it was already mounted up on ceiling

will test your suggestions next visit.

Do you have enough licenses on the controller? Are you sure it isn't limited to 16 licenses?
