When a RAP is connected it will require 1 AP license, right?

And when this RAP disconnects this license is available for another (R)AP right?

I ask this because we have recently provided the it team with RAPs for remote support, but we don't have enough licenses to connect them all at once, which is perfectly fine because we will never connect all at the same time.

Also, for every AP license you can support 4 RAPs.

    This needs to be clarified:

Every AP, including RAPs require an AP license.  From a platform standpoint, a controller can support 4 times as many Remote APs, than Campus APs.

so does that mean if a controller is licenced for 16 APs, it can have connected 16 APs and 64 RAPs at the same time?

It does not.  It means you can have 15 APs and 4 RAPs in total at the same time.  Or 14 APs and 8 RAPs. Get it?

I think your previous post was right, every AP needs an AP license, and the numbers here apply to the number of both AP types you can have in that controller in any given time provided you have the license for every AP
