     hi ,

We have RAP2 and AP 105, recently encounter the configuration lose issue.  we did provisioning on the AP /RAP, set the AP name and group name , controller ip addr, etc.  However, after some times power on/off , the AP or RAP lose the configuration, what is the cause of this kind problem? thanks in advance.

    Hi Friend,

This should not happened. once you provision the AP it should write the AP-Group name and the LMS IP into flash.

can you share the snapshot of the printenv command on the apboot mode.

just wanna check whether it is able to store the AP_group and LMS or not.

    Please share the required output.

    It is very simple,

COnsole your AP and hit the enterkey to interrupt the autoboot as shown bellow.

at the apboot> prompt use printenv and capture the output send.

Please feel free for any further help on this

    The RAP2  http://support.arubanetworks.com/Documentation/tabid/77/DMXModule/512/Command/Core_Download/Default.aspx?EntryId=2874

    and the AP105  http://support.arubanetworks.com/Documentation/tabid/77/DMXModule/512/Command/Core_Download/Default.aspx?EntryId=9003

...both have reset buttons.  Please consult the documentation to see how to reset both.

The AP105 and RAP2 should not lose information that is provisioned, like the name of the AP and the ap-group.  If the server that the AP is pointed to is provisioned by an administrator, it should not lose that either.  If the values of those devices are being lost, a TAC case should be opened.

Make sure you have the licenses installed ?
    show license
    show ap license-usage

    Hi ,

The AP and Rap were used for a few years, and they all should be licensed.

I provisioned the AP by connecting the ap to the controller directly , and go to configuration/ap installation/provision, then select the ap , set the controller ip address, ap group name ,ap name, then click Apply./reboot . Once the Ap reboot up , I disconnec the ap from the controller.  In the beginning , AP/RAP work fine, but after some days, the AP ./RaP lose the configuration , like AP name....

Can you please run the following command "show log system | include <AP MAC>

This output of this command may show what might be the issue.

Also have you tried using another browser ?
