I have a customer with a number of AP134's that are rebooting every few hours. Each seems to report the cause as "Reboot caused by out of memory" when I run the AP debug system-status command. The is also crash information available on the APs which has this at the end -

<3>Out of memory: kill process 1354 (ofald) score 2737 or a child
    <3>Killed process 1354 (ofald)
    <4>allocated nodes on wifi0:
    <4>allocated nodes on wifi1:
    <4>Time Thu Dec 21 09:07:42 2017: Flash erase @ 0xf6f70000

They are terminating on a 7210 running 6.5.3.3

Any way of finding out what the issue is thats causing this?

How long has the customer had the APs and when did it first start happening?

Does the customer have hybrid spectrum enabed?

    Hi,

The APs have been in for a few years now and we haven't seen this issue before. There are a mixture of devices (AP93/AP135/AP304&5) which have been added to the estate over time.

Hybrid Spectrum is not enabled on any of the APs.

We noticed the rebooting now that we have sorted out an Airwave issue which meant that we were not aware of the reboots so its not possible to say how long its been happening with any certainty.

TAC would need to analyze the crash and see if this is a new or existing issue and if it is fixed already.

    Hi All,

We are also facing this issue after upgrading the AOS to 6.4.4.16 for AP124 in controller M3 6000 and 7240.

Already opened TAC case and shared the crashes and waiting for update.

    Thanks,
