    Hi,

We have a pair of 7210-ROW controllers running APs in the UK and Ireland.

We have a few offices in the US and want to run APs there from the UK controllers.   I can create a new AP Group with a new Regularory Domain set to US.

Will this work?   Or do I need to buy new US controllers to run the US APs?

    Thanks

    Joe

You need to buy a controller for US APs...

    http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/Can-we-terminate-a-restricted-AP-on-any-unrestricted-or/ta-p/175432

US APs can only terminate on US controllers.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

From looking at the parts list:

    http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/ds/DS_AP300Series.pdf

There is only one part number for AP-305 (JX936A)  There dosn't appear to be different regulatory domain APs.  So if that connects to the controllers and is put in to a 'US AP Group'  What would happen?

    Thanks

An AP that is in an ap-group that has a regulatory domain of US will not come up on a ROW controller. You will get a regulatory domain error. You can add a local controller that has a US regulatory domain and terminate the AP with the US regulatory domain there.
