I just got thrown into help supporting our Aruba network. The previous employee set up ARM to prefer 5GHz. Since the change, the clients that only had 2.4GHz radios in them are unable to connect. We still would like to put the preference on the 5GHz band but allow the 2.4GHz clients to connect. It has to be something easy he missed..

In (I)AP-92/93 the band steering option \ prefer 5.0GHz isn't supported, even if you mark it enable , the AP can work only in one spectrum or 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz.

    to summarize :smileywink:

    AP92/93 = 1 RADIO MODULE 2 BANDS - SOFTWARE CONFIGURABLE OR OR.

Interesting that all of the 'unsupported' options are available but dont do anything? I understand Aruba was getting efficient in pushing out a single firmware for multiple hardware types, but I would think they would disallow those options that are unavailable.

Why do you think , that there is no reason :) - there is a reason.

    --------------------------------------

Those options are there ,because u may wanna enable them when using mix InstantAP types in your   VC group. (for example IAP92+IAP105+IAP104+IAP134+IAP135...You understand my point)

    Btrask,

A swarm or group of Instant APs can have multiple platforms (IAP 105s and IAP 135), so we need to keep all of the options that support those platforms open...
