i have just deployed the above controller in a hotel.

Everything is working fine, but i have a few questions to ask.

Intermitantly user using various devices complain that they cannot get onto the wifi network. They see the SSID and try to login.

They eventually time and without being able to connect.
Is there a issue or compatabiltiy issue with some wifi products.

to cure this i have to reset the controller and 9/10 times it resloves the issue.

the system has 6.1.3.0 sw installed , is this and issue ?

    thanks in advance.

Those this happens with certain devices ?

You should probably consider upgrading to a newer 6.1.3.x code .

But before you do make sure you read the release code.

In order for you to have access to those files (Download TAP to appear) you need to create an account , not sure if FTP is supported.

You should probably should open a TAC case and ask them what's version OS they recommend for your setup .

Make sure you read the release notes .

You should probably wait until you have access so you can get the installiation instructions based on the AOS version you will install.

I now have the new software 6.1.3.6 these files are zipped.

i have followed the best practices for the upgraded but a little stuck on the FTP/TFTP transfering of the configuration and installation of the software.

i have backed up the config on th controller and it tells me that the config has been saved locally.

i have used a used on free TFTP peice of software to receive the files to back up but i get the error PUT Access denied.

is there a prefered or recommended FTP software anyone could recommend and a dummy crib sheet to help my on this software upgarde path.

    thanks in advance

Can you please share the commands you are using to transfer the files over like the config and AOS ?

It shouldn't matter what tftp software you are using but I use tftpd32 , it works pretty good.

The TFTP program automatically listens on ports see attachment.

As it was being blocked and i could not receive anything i did a factory reset from the WEBUI .

Now i cant talk via the console port or the WEBUI - not sure of the default IP address.

Things are going from bad to worse.

Im at the stage where i will pay someone who can help me with this  (remotely via the web).
