    Hi there,

From an Aruba Official Guide I have read the following:

AP Capacity License—For RAP indoor and Outdoor mesh APs. Campus, Remote or Mesh APs can terminate on the controller without the need for a separate license.

    But the following SKU exists:

    JW472AAE - LIC-AP - Aruba Cntrlr Per AP Capacity Lic E-LTU  - Enables 1 AP capacity license

Then, based on this SKU I guess the above sentence is not right. Am I missing anything?

    Regards,

    Julián

    Hi Victor,

In other words, for example, if I have a 7005 controller and I want to manage 10 APs, do I need a license?

    Regards,

    Julián

    Don't quite understand your question.

AP license is used to allow AP to connect to the controller (manage the AP)

You need x # of AP license per the amount APs you are planning to attached to the controller(s)

    Hi Victor,

Yes, and I believe that as well. But then, the following excerpt from an Aruba document is not true:

AP Capacity License—For RAP indoor and Outdoor mesh APs. Campus, Remote or Mesh APs can terminate on the controller without the need for a separate license.

    Hi everyone,

Then does this sentence make sense?

AP Capacity License—For RAP indoor and Outdoor mesh APs. Campus, Remote or Mesh APs can terminate on the controller without the need for a separate license.

    Regards,

    Julián

I think what's that is trying to is that to attach an AP to controller all you need is an AP Licence

What is the source for that sentence? I agree it's not clear, but would need the source for that.
