I am in the process of evaluating whether to upgrade my Aruba controllers  6000 series controllers with one M3 module each running 6.3 code to 7200 series controllers running 6.4

What are some advantages to doing making the hardware jump as opposed to just updating code on these?

I am considering security, roaming, capacity, licensing, but am looking for other ways to justify the upgrade.

One of the major new features is deep packet inspection. Your firewall rules can block and throttle applications.

Also keep in mind that the M3s are getting old and some new features may be deprecated from those controllers.
