Anybody know what this log entry means?

    Getting some strange behaviour reported by a small number of clients. Logs related to their mac address contain this. Anybody shed any light?

     

    Station UP for <usermac> on non active-UAC, essid bssid f6:2c:2a:d0:ed:0c

     

    The same error sometimes references garbled essid

     

    ERROR: Station UP for <usermac> on non active-UAC, essid \235d*▒\237p bssid f6:2c:2a:d0:ed:0c
