Aruba 7200 Series Controller

    Hi Community.

    Some models of the series mentioned have some SFP+ ports, that means that you can insert 1GE and 10GE transceivers in the slots.

    One of the transceiver you can instert is : Aruba SFP-TX 1000 BASE-T SFP RJ45 T Transceiver (JW089A).

    If this transceiver is used installed in an SFP+ port of the controller, can it negotiate 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds ? or it can only works at 1000 Mbps?.

    Is there any documentation to support the answer?

    I can tell you from experience it only works at a single speed.

     

    I will let others mention if they have plugged in a 10 or 100 device into a 1000 speed transceiver and got it to work.

    Does anybody else has tried to connect a 10 or 100 Mbps device to a 1000 Base-T (JW089A) transceiver placed in a 10GE SFP+ port of the 7200 Wireless Controller?
