In a new deployment i had some issues with client stability and high 802.11 retry rate (~50%) while all design recommendations are set.

    Environment:

    • ArubaOS 8.6.0.4
    • 2x 7205 Mobility Controllers in a AOS8 cluster.
    • 80x AP-505 Access Points at 15 locations.
    • 3x AP-535 Access Points at 1 location.

    Issue:

    • Clients are not stable, drop connections approx twice a day at different clients on all sites.
    • show airmatch event all-events all-aps shows lot of noise_detection at 5GHz and change channels during the day, about 20 channel changes a day.
    • show log errorlog shows AP's in the cluster as rogue AP, after that clean it as "no longer rogue".

    Solution:

Upgrade to latest 8.6.0.5 and noise and rogue events are not seen anymore since then, and clients are more stable. This release contains some bugfixes that are relevant for my environment, see release notes, link.
