Aruba IAP-103-RW AP Class not match

    Hi,

     

    I'm new to Aruba and need your support to solve below issue.

     

    I need to join IAP-103 to existing VC , which is on IAP-105. When I connect IAP 103 to the network, it will take ip address from DHCP, but not join with VC , even auto joinning enabled. 

     

    I check VC's AP Log system, it said AP class not match error.

    Please refer attached screen dump.

     

    Please help me to resolve this issue.

    Try to download the Pegasus image here:  http://support.arubanetworks.com/LifetimeWarrantySoftware/tabid/121/DMXModule/661/Default.aspx?EntryId=22019 and install on the AP-103, by booting it on a separate network.  Somehow it cannot download that image over the internet..

    Dear Joseph, Thank you very much for your reply. I upgrade ap 103 image as said but still having "ap class not match" issue.

     

    I'm new to aruba and can you explain me on below.

    My VC and all other working AP's are IAP-105. As my understanding IAP-105 is Orion class

     

    The AP which is not joining with above VC is IAP-103, which is belongs to Pegasus class.

     

    Is it possible to have 2 different type of classess , Orion and Pegusus join to one VC ?

     

    MY VC and IAP-105's current image - 6.4.0.2-4.1.0.0_44004

    IAP 103's image - version-6.4.2.6-4.1.1.13_54918

     

    Please check and let me know the solution.

    You should try upgrading your existing cluster to 6.4.2.6-4.1.1.13_54918

    To be clear, it looks like there is no version of InstantOS on the website (and probably in the cloud) for the IAP-103 that your cluster is currently running, so it likely cannot downgrade.  You should try upgrading the cluster to what the IAP-103 is running first.  Make sure everything is allright, and then try adding the IAP-103 to it.
