Aruba Licensing (Webcc License Exceeded)

I'm currently running 8.2 on MM. I'm getting an error (Webcc License Exceeded) and the only AP I have connected to the MD is down. I do not have any licenses for Webcc nor intend to use any. I'm wondering why the MM thinks that I've exceeded and why would this bring an AP down...if that's what's happening?

Hey, where are you seeing that license error? Do you have WebCC enabled under Configuration > Roles & Policies > Applications page? Are you able to provide the output of the below?

    #show license verbose

Thanks for the reply. Bellow shows the "Alerts"/error...when I click on it, it gives me the "WebCC Licenses Exceeded". Also, below shows that WebCC isn't enabled I beleive. Under each level "managed networks, sub-folder and the VMC itself, all show the same:image.png

Here is the show command of the license verbose:

Installed Expires(Grace period expiry) Flags Service Type
    --------- ---------------------------- ----- ------------
    2018-01-02 16:22:40 Never E Access Points: 10
2018-01-02 16:22:48 Never E Next Generation Policy Enforcement Firewall Module: 10
    2018-01-02 16:23:01 Never E RF Protect: 10
    2018-01-02 22:50:50 Never E MM-VA: 500
    2018-01-02 22:50:56 Never E MC-VA-US: 250

    Thanks again for the response/help!

So getting back to this issue, I was looking at the show ap database on the MM and VMC and both show the AP has been up for 6hrs:

    Status
    ------
    Up 6h:2m:7s

And adding a test config to it, I'm able to connect to the SSID and pull an IP...so it appears to be working just fine. Perhaps it's a bug on this version affecting the GUI.

***I also just reloaded the MM and VMC and the alert is still there, but it shows the AP up now....don't know if it will show it down in a min or so, but up for now. I will try to open a case with support and see if they have come across this or if I'm doing something wrong.

    Hi

I have two standalone VMC installation and got on both the same error. It is interessting for me too how to fix this issue.

The license feature and the feature in the roles & policies are deactivated.

    Thanks

Make sure that WCC is disabled. Navigate to Configuration > Services > Firewall > Global Settings and scroll down almost at the bottom.

Having the exact same issue on a brand new install with 8.2.0.2

Confirmed WebCC is disabled and the feature is not enabled in the license pool.

I'm running into this same problem.  Did you ever find a resolution?

    Thanks

what I am wondering is if anybody actually opened a ticket for this so it can be fixed or if we all are leaving it as is because it doesn't seem to break anything?

I am having the exact same issue on 8.2.0.2

It does not affect anything, just annoying.

    Likely a bug.

Solution: This issue has been already reported to the development team and got an update that it will be patched in the Aruba OS version 8.2.0.2 and 8.2.1.0 . 8.2.1.0 is expected to be fixed released on 23rd Feb 2018.

Obviously it wasn't patched in 8.2.0.2 as I too have the same problem. I am glad someone mentioned to check the ap database as my AP also shows disconnected. I will attach another, different model of AP to see if the issue persists, as right now only one AP is connected.
