Wireless Access

Hi Guys, 

We have a controller deployed that is purely used for RAPs. We are having a hard time SSH'ing to this controller. We are able to get the SSH prompt to enter in the username and password. After we enter the username and password the terminal session times out. 

We have done the following:

-- Tried to reboot the controller

-- Tried to run these commands on the controller: loginsession timeout 0. Controller expected the command, but still the session timed out. 

-- We can ping and traceroute to the controller. 

-- We have tried to jump from a machine local to this site, but still that makes no difference. 

-- Created a new account, but still expereinced the SSH issue. 

This controller is running 6.4.2.17 code and the connection works fine when trying to telnet to the controller. 

Can you confirm why we are unable to SSH to this controller?

We have another RAP controller in a different location, on the same version and we can SSH to that controller fine. 

We are using telnet as a work around, but would like to troubleshoot and resolve why we are unable to SSH to this particular controller.

Did it ever work before?

Not sure if this ever worked before. This controller has been there for a quite a while doing nothing and now we have started the RAP project with this. We have only tried this now and not sure why this is not working. 

Can you ping the controller from your workstation?

Yes we can ping it from the workstation.

Using "ssh -vvv username@ip" from a linux terminal might give you some info of what is causing this.

Thanks for your reply. My end customer has resolved the issue.

They advised that they made some changes under configuration > Administration to resolve the issue.
