We just upgraded one of our controllers to 6.4.2.5.  We noticed that the background image of our CP page is not showing, even though if you click on the preview on the controller it shows fine. It does the same thing even when using a custom created page.

In first thought Its looks like the problem is coming from browser, please try with different browser.

It's not a browser issue, it happens on IE/Chrome/Safari. It happens on laptops and smart phones.

I just upgraded our test controllers to the same code and the issue is not present.  Don't know what it could be causing this issue on the 3400.

    Salvi,

Does the image reside on the controller or somewhere else?  Support would probably need the logs.tar from the controller to replicate this.

The image and files reside locally on the controller.  I opened a TAC case, but they had no clue why the issue was happening nor how to fix it.

I'm going to reload the controller to see if that resolves the issue.

Odd thing is that on my test controller, a 650, it works fine and every code that I've tried.

Does reloading your controller (when you with 6.4.2.5 ) solve the no images in captive portal issue?

I can confirm that A3200 that was on my lab with version 6.4.2.4 , stop showing captive portal images after upgrading it to 6.4.2.5

**ITS SEEMS LIKE AN AOS BUG**

...WORKAROUND: USE HTTPS ..... no images without when using 6.2.4.5

I reloaded the controller while on 6.4.2.5 and same issue.  Dowgraded back to 6.1.3.11 and it worked fine. Upgraded back again to 6.4.2.5 and issue re-appeared.

I will try https to see if this workaround works.  I don't see why it's only happening on the 3400, the 650 controller doesn't have the issue.

Thanks for sharing the info. I have the following deatils: M3-6000 - Captive images working fine with HTTP/HTTPS in 6.3.1.15 , Not working as needed in 6.4.2.5 (images not showing when using http) 3200 - Captive images working fine with HTTP/HTTPS in 6.4.2.4 , Not working as needed in 6.4.2.5 (images not showing when using http) Workaround: use HTTPS. (that's what i found) 2nd Workaround: downgrade :( *I dont like it*

I just made the change to use https and can verify that it's working using this workaround.  The only thing we noticed is that the redirect to the target web page is a little slower when using https.

I also want to state a correction, the issue is happening on our 650 controller as well.
