I need some help please – bought some AudioCastM5 devices.
A really awesome device but have an issue that i cannot figure out.
Done all testing to say the issue is not with the Audiocast Devices (well does not seems to be).
The Audiocast M5 devices , both have the latest firmware 3.8.6030.0 (and I believe this is the latest).
If I connect it to My Aruba IAP-207 devices (Virtual Controller) running any version of firmware version 8.3 (even 8.4 - did not try earlier versions) , the iOS and Android APPS cannot detect the AudioCast devices but DLNA and Spotify Connect works fine.
Also tried on IAP-315 connected to Aruba Central , same.
I do know it is not a firewall,vlan and or switch issue , when I use Ruckus/Huawei on the same network , the apps can detect the devices.
Just for interest sake the switch is a HP/Aruba 2530 and firewall is a WatchGuard
I would like to use the APP for the advanced functions like getting the audio in sync (across the house) and or different music sources on different areas and there is just no way I am getting this on the Aruba wifi.
If I sync the music sources on a Ruckus/Huawei and then chnage the Auduicast devices o the Aruba Wifi , that snc (all audio is the same ) it still works -- so technically multiroom audio works , but again I cannot configure anything via the app. So if i want to switch back to individual zones , i need to change them back to Rucks , use the app to use them as individual zones again.
So issue is clearly Aruba and or firmware with Audiocast.
If the APP was able to allow me to manually enter the IP addresses of the Audiocast devices , I am sure that will be a great workaround but the APP cannot do this.
I have enabled the Google services , Spotify services …even allow all , analysed the services with WireShark and just cannot figure out the issue.
I have also disabled multicast filtering ,tried dynamic multicast optimisation , tried changing the 2.4GHZ to legacy mode. There are no access rules configured . Switched off 802.11 r , k & V.
Spent hours and hours on this , just cannot figure this out.
Did also check out posts about ChromeCast Audio - not the same issue , just the app.
Pretty sure it is a multicast issue?
Would appreciate your help.
