We have power outage in Data Center and 3200 controller was unavailable for 6 hours. After power outage all branch access points were showing down status.

I have to manually reboot APs inorder to reconnect with controller.

Ideally access points should contact controller when its  is available. Any thoughts what could be issue ?

Can you run a show log system 100 ?

Are the APs getting an IP address ?

Were you able to console into the AP?

From the switch can you tell if the APs is getting Power ?

Please provide the show log system all | include ap Mac

And also run the show log error log all | include ap Mac

Try to ping the AP from the controller .

How are your APs discovering the controller ? DNS , dhcp 43 , adp

Is it just one controller ?

Make sure the cpsec is not turned on if you are not using it
