Can I install antennas to different rooms?

    Hi,

we have two different rooms which are around 10m apart. We can not have an AP in these rooms, but an antenna is fine. As traffic from those rooms will be quite low, we would like to use just one AP (AP204).

Can we place one antenna from single AP204 to each room (signal from outside the room will not get inside, so the antenna needs to be inside the room)? Or both the antennae has to be near each other due some wave magic?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

All the antenna elements from each single AP needs to cover the same area, not be pulled apart to cover different areas/directions.

They still belong to the same radio and that radio needs to be able to hear the signal on both antennas for diversity or needs both antennas to be able to trasmit multiple chains.

    Cheers,
