Is it possible to configure an IAP 215 to "be" a mobile snifferbox?

If you have an RF Protect license, you can monitor spectrum/radio information.

Sounds like you are trying to capture wireless traffic?

Get a Linux box and a card that supports monitor mode.

You can with an IAP-215, yes.  It does not require a license.
