    I need help in understanding as how CAC authentication works with network switches.

     

    The information available is that it uses two factor authentication which involves the public key authentication and username/password authentication.

    But want to clearly understand as how the certificates on both server and client are playing role in the public key authentication process.

     

    Can some one help me with if there are any packet captures or the flow that help to understand this?

    to which Aruba product is this related to and what sources have you already looked into?

     

    in general you could search for client certificate authentication.
