We provide RAP-155 to work-from-home (WFH) users.  While all PCs work,  Mac computers also work but having problem with the equivalent to Windows remote desktop.

When Help Desk look at the “Network Discovery” from their Mac, they do not see these WFH Mac so they cannot remote it.  While all Mac computers (WFH and local Mac) are on the same subnet, Help Desk can only see and remote the Mac at the local network.

All Mac are running on the newest OS 10.  Aruba OS is 6.3.1.8

    Any helps are appreciated.

    Regards,

    #RAP155

Do you have drop broadcast/multicast enabled?

What forwarding mode are you using?

Yes I do drop BC and MC

    All WFH traffic are tunneled

Also note that Help Desk  ask user to connect to RAP wired port, same problem.

    Thanks Tim for quick response

    You have 3 options
    1) enable AirGroup
    2) Disable drop bc/mc (not recommended)
    3) have users connect via computer name instead of relying on home network discovery

    Tim,

Thanks for the answers.  Solution 1 and 2 are out.

In #3, Microsoft Remote Desktop app does the trick.  Yes they do have an app for it.
