Captive Portal Intermittent Problem

    Hi,

     

    My customer got intermittent problem on captive portal. Some of the device after connect to the SSID it doesn't auto pop-up the browser prompt user to sign in and some of devices it does.

     

    Some of it may need click "Forget Network" and connect back again then it will auto pop-up the browser to sign in.

     

    Please advise.

    Are you using a controller (or IAP) portal or an external one like Clearpass?

    This behaviour is dependant on the device, what OS (and version) etc..

    In short, it is hit and miss....some do some don't.

    Is hardware controller use Aruba controller internal captive portal. But before that, it doesn't happen like this.

    Before what exactly?  Did you upgrade recently or something like that?
