Captive portal issue

    hi,

     

    we're facing few issue with CP 

     

    when user connect to captive portal SSID(successful getting IP), why sometimes some user is not able to view the captive portal login page?

     

    when type google.com into browser, it will not redirect to CP , need to type in IP format such as 1.2.3.4 etc then browser only will redirect to CP?

     

    Pls advise

    If you are being redirected only when typing an IP, not a name, then it is likely a DNS issue.   Can you share the output of the following:

     

    show rights <name-of-role>

    HI,

    this is a DNS issue, verify that in LOGON-Role the DNS traffic is permetted.

    And if the client are apple devices remeber to select the box "bypass the appale captive protal".

    Hi,

    it is an DNS issue as alredy said,

    have you give to your guests a valid DNS server ?

    do the guest-logon role allow dns or not ? (by default it allow dns)
