Central and Airwave for IAP deployment

Hello, i would like to ask. What is the difference between IAP deployment using Central and using Airwave? What could one do better than the other? When should you choose to use one over the other?

I know Central is a cloud based solution whereas Airwave is an on premise solution.

Thank you

Re: Central and Airwave for IAP deployment

For IAP deployment, I think your last line is a good summary:

Central is cloud-based/software as a service.

Airwave is for private cloud/on-prem deployments.

If you have a smaller deployment (few APs per site) then Central is much easier as you don't need to spin up any hardware of VM. For larger campus networks (with controllers) you see more Airwave. Then for scale beyond 10000 APs you see Central appear again because of the APIs and cloud scale. But in general, public cloud (Central) and private cloud (Airwave) are the differences.
