Wireless Access

Just trying to make sure before I license the wrong controller...

 

Already have 16 controllers, master/local setup with master redundancy.....licenses installed old fashioned way, each controller getting its own set.

 

I have two brand new 7210 controllers and I bought 64 licenses for each one....

 

SO.....

 

I should install the licenses on the master licensing server.....and then the controllers will pull as many as they need?  Meaning those 128 AP license count could get splt up 5 here, and 15 over there, and another 2 over there, and 80 over there?

 

OR

 

If I use 1 ap on the controller it assumes the entire 64 ap license?

This is the way it will work

That's what I thought and after reading your post I tested it out and WOW!

 

Now I have more unused AP licenses than I know what to do with......
