Changing device names; sometimes can, sometimes can't.

    Not sure what the pattern is, but I sometimes can do this, sometimes can't: search for client, click on client detail, to change info; for example, device name. But all of the fields seem grayed out--not letting changes be made.

     

    Doesn't seem to matter if the device is connected either, which was my first guess.

    What firmware version are you running?

    This is Airwave 8.2.4.1, on a 7220 running 6.5.4.2_61807

    Exactly what I needed. It wasn't clear to me that you were trying to change the name via Airwave rather than through the controller UI.

     

    What are the steps you're going through when trying to change the name?

    Clients/Overview / select client I want to change / 

     

    this opens the Diagnostics page

     

    then I click on Client Detail / Show Additional Properties:
