    Hi guys,

When checking the 802.11 client type in an Instant GUI I can see the following:

    type.PNG

What are the options for the Type field? In the previous output Type is GN, but how can I discern if the client is G or N?

    Regards,

    Julián

"a" means the client is connected to the 5ghz band
"g" means it is connected to the 2.4ghz band
"N" means it has connected at 802.11n rates (above 54)

    Hi Colin,

But in the previous output Type is GN, but how can I discern if the client is G or N?

And if my client is AC, would I see AC or just A?

    Regards,

    Julián

    Hi Colin,

Then do you know how can I discern if the client is G or N if the Type shown is GN?

It is an N client.  G or A just indicates the band.

in instant APs with command show clients I see client types:
    . a-HE
    . AN
    . g-HE

what is the x-HE meaning ?  Is it related to High Throughput mode?

    also with show ap bss-table
     I see the colum

    band/ht-mode/bandwidth

    and values : HE

Please what are the possibile values and meaning?

    Thank you
