Clearpass with Airwave or Central

Right now we have a radius server for our wifi over instant controller IAP-205.  We are upgrading to Clearpass over the summer.  We have setup the network with layered network.  I am looking at getting Airwave or Central to help control the multiple buildings nodes.  Since the network is segmented.  If you have either I would appreciate your thoughts on which is best.

Thanks

Re: Clearpass with Airwave or Central

What's the scale of the deployment?  Number of IAPs, number of buildings, number of floor plans?  Switches included?

Both AirWave and Central have VisualRF feature.  So you could go either way.  AirWave is an in-house server deployment while Central is cloud-based.  Both systems work with IAPs.

If you're under 4k devices, then I usually suggest AirWave.  If you're beyond that in scale, then Central.  You could always evaluate both - but IAPs will only be able to direct data to one or the other, not both.
