    Hi,

from your experience can a Wi-Fi client have connection/disconnection issues when roaming from a 802.11g Access Point (AP60) to a 802.11n AP (AP93)?

    Thanks,

    Massimo

Yes , since the client might see the 802.11n AP a better connection (MIMO) even when its closer to the 11g AP and the client may not roam to the 802.11g (sticky client).

So to avoid this problem, do I just have to disable the 802.11n from AP93?

You could take that route but Its your environment completely mixed of 11n and 11g APs , are those very close to each other? or it just a one off situation ?

It's an old big environment where we at first have only AP60/61; then when the customer was in need of additional APs we have provided him AP93. The actual situation is that we have more or less 1 AP93 every 10 AP60/61.

In your opinion what is the better solution?

In that case you might as well turn off 11n since you have way more 11g APs in your environment and once you are able to have better 11n footprint to turn it back on
