    Hi All

We have a site with 2 access points, SSID advertised on both, the traffic for this is tunnelled back to our controller.

For some reason a few times a day the clients are getting disconnected.

My colleague says when we put them on another SSID they dont drop.

What would cause this ? some logs from the controller for the AP in question

    I am seeing the below

[reason_code STA has left and is deauthenticated]

[bssid d8:c7:c8:2e:03:71] [name TEST] [reason Denied: AP Ageout]

"My colleague says when we put them on another SSID they dont drop"..  Do you mean another SSID on the same access point?

The log messages are normal parts of roaming and client association/disassociation.  By themselves they do not suggest anything.

You have two access point, what is the current power on both bands of those access points?

Do you have "Drop Broadcast and Multicast" enabled on all Virtual APs?

Yes different SSID on same access point

Drop broadcast and multicast is currently disabled

    AP1 - 5GHZ EIRP is 24  - Noise -91dBm

    AP1 - 2.4GHZ EIRP is 19  - Noise -88dBm

    AP2 - 5GHZ EIRP is 24 - Noise -88dBm

    AP2 - 2.4GHZ EIRP is 19 - Noise -95dBm

You should have drop broadcast and multicast on both. See if that makes a difference.

    Hi all,

I got exactly the same issue. I tried to activate "Drop broadcast and multicast" in the VAP profile but it doesn't change anything.

If we look a little bit more into details we can found that the client is sending all the time deauth request to the AP (5 deauth request in less than one minute).
