    Hi All,

I have a controller that's failing to boot after the initial setup. It's hanging at "Reading configuration from default.cfg"

Here's the output from the initial setup. Note the MYSQL message!

    System name: Aruba7210

    Switch Role: master

VLAN 1 interface IP address: 172.16.0.254

VLAN 1 interface subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Option to configure VLAN 1 interface IPV6 address: no

    Country code: GB

    Time Zone: GMT-0:0

    Ports shutdown: no

If you accept the changes the switch will restart!

Type <ctrl-P> to go back and change answer for any question

Do you wish to accept the changes (yes|no)yes

Creating configuration...Failed to initialize mysql connection.. Continuing.

     Done.

    System will now restart!

    Shutdown processing started

    Syncing data...done.

    Sending SIGKILL to all processes.

Please stand by while rebooting the system.

    Here's where it hangs...

    Any recommendations?

I can get to cpxload prompt but can I reset the controller from there?

As per the referenced post above the following fixed the issue.

    1) boot the controller

    2) wait for the first stage of the boot process to complete (cpxload)

    3) interrupt the second stage by pressing enter when prompted

    4) enter the format 0:2 command

    5) wait a very long time (10 minutes or so) for this to complete.

    6) reload the controller (using reset command) and preboot checks will rewrite data to the config partition allowing you to start the config wizard from CLI

    Cheers
