I have setup teh default DHCP-Server pool on the M6000 Controller to be 172.16.1.0/24 and there's been no issue using this configuration.

I have exhuasted the DHCP pool IPs and tried to increase the network to a /23.

I changed the associated network interfaces to a /23, keeping the the existing gateway at 172.16.1.250.

The /24 DHCP scope was deleted and I created a new /23 scope.

I can see the DHCP scope was accepting clients into the 172.16.0.x network, however they were unable to get out the Internet. All clients that had an existing 172.16.1.x IP we able to access the Internet as before.

I cannot see a reason as to why the clients in the 172.16.0.x network were unable to get out to the Internet, even though they could ping the gateway at 172.16.1.250.

Did the previous clients rely on a route back to the controller for that /24 subnet, OR does your firewall require a NAT entry for the new /23 subnet?
