I have a cluster of Aruba IAP 105's. They are setup WPA2-PSK. They allow DHCP through a server so it is disabled in the Arubas. The network is unrestricted. We don't use a MAC authentication, that I know of.

We have multiple devices just like the ones we are having trouble with. They are Moxa Nport boxes for CNC machines. We have 15 running on the network with no issues. We are adding new ones only to find that the box connects and shows up by MAC address in the Auba Dashboard, but we are unable to communicate with it. It is showing up with an IP of 0.0.0.0

We have verified that the Moxa's work on other wireless networks perfectly, so it isn't the box itself. Any input on why this is happening would be apprecaited, thank you.

Are these devices all being assigned the same User Role? Where do they get DHCP from, the IAP or somewhere external? I've seen clients with 0.0.0.0 due to an incorrect PSK previously.

I'm unclear about anything User Role related.

For devices that are DHCP, they are getting it from a DC on a separate VLAN. These devices are just simple setup and run devices. No OS or anything.

We have made sure that the key was correct, but that is good to remember.

I have never connected via CLI on these APs. I am unsure how to do so.

You'll need an AP like Putty, enter the IP of the IAP you are testing with
    and go from there :)

Ok great! I'll get the device we are having issues with on the correct network.

I'll make sure I know which AP it is connected to

    Then run the debug

I wasn't able to get output at all. The attached file shows the commands I used.

The first run is with the MAC address of the device itself, and the second is the MAC of the Access Point.

I wasn't sure which MAC I needed so I tried both, and had similar results.

    Thoughts?

Was the client connecting to "Aruba3-WELD" when you ran the test?

Yes, It was and still is. I have it out on a mezzenine in our shop.

What about if you check the logs from the CLI ([slow log XX]. Are the
clients able to connect if you set a static IP? Do you have an Open SSID
you can get the client connected to as a test?

Most of the clients on this network are set statically.

This device is also set to a static address. It just shows up as 0.0.0.0 and will not communicate.

I had a temp network set up in my office and it connected and communicated just fine, but that was with an EnGenuis AP.

Care to share a tech-support from the AP with the MAC of the device in question?

    Hello,

Just wanted to check in and see if you had anything further to try?

Thank you for the help so far.

Log in to the CLI using Putty or similar and run #show tech-support and post the output. I’d suggest removing any sensitive or customer data before doing so.

    Cheers,
    Craig

I'm really hoping this is what you are wanting lol.

I'm sure you don't need all of it but I didn't want to remove anything other than the personal company details.

Any luck looking through that dump file?
