What is the difference between "wireless Uplink" and "mesh back haul"?
On the documentation of user guide of IAPs, the 11ac Aps don't support "wireless uplink", however they have the mesh capability.
Not sure of the reason behind this limitation.
"Wireless Uplink" is an Aruba Feature where you can connect an IAP cluster to a foreign wireless network, like a hotspot for internet connectivity.
"Mesh Backhaul" is the ability to connect one IAP to another in the same cluster wirelessly for connectivity, instead of through the ethernet port.
Thanks Joseph.
Is it a case that, the AP when connects on WLAN on its uplink when it is a "client device" as in "wireless client bridge"
And the AP when connects on WLAN on the Mesh backhaul when it is a "infrastructure device" as in "Mesh point"?
Is interoperatability with different vendor's WLAN only difference between backhaul and uplink?
