    Setup:

    Controllers: 3600

    1 - master

    3 - local

    All running 6.2.1.4

We have been getting a lot of duplicate IP messages being handed out via DHCP for wireless users.  This doesn't happen for wired users.  aps and users are on the same vlan.  I did turn on conflict detection within the DHCP server, but I think it is another issue.  Does mobile IP have to be turn on or the ip access-list valid user?

What are you using for DHCP ?

Do you have enfornce DHCP turned on ? Are you aware of any users that might be assigning their devices static IPs ?

Do you have APs on both controllers ? Are both controller sharing the same VLAN setups ?

    DHCP

    • Windows Server 2012 non failover

I don't think enforce dhcp is turned on.  Some users could have dhcp, however, these users are supposed to have full access and we cannot dictate what they do with their computers.

APs are split between controllers, same VLAN setups as well.

If you are sharing VLANs/IP Segments between controllers might be your issue .

You should try to having separate VLANs on each controller
