Enabling WIPS

    I am planning to enable WIPS in one buiding. I have already deployed AM (4:1) and WIDS is on.

    There is one AP group and one AM group.

    So I was wondering which group should I select when enabling WIPS ?

    It all depends which type of WIPS you want to do. There is WIPS that only involves detection, and that can be done on all APs. There is also WIPS that involves protection, and that can also be done on all APs, but will be much more effective in the group that has AMs.

    Please know that turning on protection is a very legally murky area, and you should consult an attorney to make sure you do not run afoul of the law...

    But I can have only AP or AM in a single group, right ?

    You can have any combination of devices in a single group.
