    Hi,

I´m reviewing ACDP Official Certification Study Guide and I have a doubt. In RF Planning module, Aruba indicates a formula to estimate number of APs for two ways:

    - Coverage based design (estimate)

    Example calculation:

    100,000 sq footage building

    100,000/5000 --- 40 APs

    - Capacity based design - High Density (estimate)

    Example calculation:

    100,000 sq footage building

    100,000/2500 --- 66 APs

In both cases, when I make the math, the result is different. In first case I get 20 APs, and the second 40 APs. What could be the mistake?

Attached the image of the book calculation.

    Thanks for your help.

It's a typo in the book. The recommendation in the book for coverage is  one AP for every 5000 sq feet, so 100,000/5000 = 20

For capacity it is one AP for every 2500 sq feet, so 100,000/2500=40

For high-capacity it is one AP for every 1500 sq feet, so 100,000/1500=66

    I hope this helps,
