I have to install a redundant controller for a customer in a site that is remote from the site where the current master is housed. The VLANs however are different at each site. I don't know of a way to failover the RAPs between controllers where VLANs assigned to the VAPs are different. Any suggestions for a solution to this?
Perhaps a GRE tunnel between the sites would be the answer. Is VLAN pooling an option that would work?
Try using named VLANs. Named VLANs are defined globally in a master/local. However the association from a named VLAN to a VLAN id is local to the controller. Instead of using VLAN ids in VAP, use the VLAN name instead.

Thanks Thomas, I think that will do the job - I will test this to make sure everything is OK.
